For over a decade, Ian Childress has been at the forefront of elite-level performance training, helping athletes push past their limits to achieve greater speed, strength, and overall athletic performance. Ian’s journey into sports performance began with a unique mentorship. He is the son-in-law of world-renowned sports performance coach, Chip Smith. Under Chip’s guidance, Ian honed his skills, learning from one the industry’s most respected pioneers. Ian has trained over 500 athletes for the NFL Combine. He has trained athletes from every major professional sport, various international athletes and teams both professional and amateur. Ian has an extensive background in sports both playing and coaching. His vast experience gives him an athletes perspective when training and connecting with his clients. He aims to help them reach their genetic potential and experience coaching at the highest level.

Ian has his B.S. in Sports Management from Liberty University and his C.S.P.S (Certified Sports Performance Specialist) certification from the M.O.R.R Certification. Ian was a scholarship athlete and a four-year letterman in football. He spent two years coaching football, strength & conditioning and basketball at Liberty High School in Bedford, Virginia. On a personal note, Ian is married to his wife Summer and they have four beautiful children, Tucker, Austin, Baker, and Paxton.
